Fairfax Farmers' Markets operates both a Saturday and a Sunday market, offering a range of products from local vendors. The Saturday market is larger with about 40 vendors, while the Sunday market is smaller with 12-15 vendors. Both are easily accessible with free parking, and are family and pet-friendly.
The Holiday Market in November and the seasonal markets have ended for the season. We return the second Saturday in May.
The Saturday Market is a large market with approximately 40 vendors. It was established more than 25 years ago by the Downtown Fairfax Coalition. It is a busy market with lots of activity. Customers can expect lines at the most popular vendors and sometimes early sell-outs of popular items.
The Sunday Market is smaller with 12-15 vendors. It is more laid-back - fewer lines and less intense. Customers decide which market appeals to them.
Driving, Bicycling, or Walking? Our markets are easily accessible and located only a block from historic Old Town Fairfax. Lots of free parking. We are family and pet friendly so bring your kids and your pets (leashed). Picnic tables are available for onsite dining.
The Saturday Market has been recognized as one of the top markets in Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine, selected as one of the best Farmers’ Markets in Northern Virginia by Virginia Foodie, and ranked one of the top 10 markets in the DC area by the Washington Business Journal.
