Asheville City Market - South

About This Market

Find fresh, local food all year long at ASAP's Asheville City Market, downtown on N. Market Street every Saturday.

Asheville City Market is a producer-only market, which means that all farm vendors grow or raise the products they are selling themselves. For non-farm vendors (such as prepared food, seafood, coffee), preference is given to products and foods prepared or processed locally or made with locally sourced ingredients.

The market opened on Charlotte Street before moving to North Market Street in 2017. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the market operated as ASAP Farmers Market on A-B Tech’s campus. We returned downtown at the start of the 2022 season.

Interesting Facts

The market offers Double SNAP for Fruits and Vegetables, Farm Fresh Produce Prescription. Free parking is available at the HomeTrust Bank lot and at the Family Justice Center lot. It is a producer-only market
