The Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market promotes Hudson Valley agricultural products, supports local farmers, and enlivens the Town and Village of Rhinebeck economically and socially. It's a Sunday morning gathering place in the municipal parking lot.
The Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market was founded in 1994 with the goal to promote Hudson Valley agricultural products, support local farmers, and enliven the Town and Village of Rhinebeck economically and socially.
Hosted in the municipal parking lot, the market has become Rhinebeck’s Sunday morning gathering place. The Rhinebeck Farmers Market is committed to investing in the future of our earth through our scholarship program as well to supporting fresh food access for all.
In 2010, the Board of Directors launched the John Honey Scholarship Fund. This annual award of a $2000 scholarship is intended to support the education and future success of local students who are dedicated to promoting local agriculture and enhancing the social, economic, and environmental sustainability of the Hudson Valley. In 2023, Longwave Financial together with the Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market launched the Jeff Scales Scholarship Fund for Community Advocacy to honor Jeff, a longtime resident and dedicated volunteer.
We accept Farmers' Market Nutrition Program, Fresh Connect, and EBT/SNAP. Since 2017, for every $1 of SNAP benefits redeemed, the market matches that spending with a $1 Plus token, doubling the purchase power of participants.
The Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market is run by a volunteer board of directors and relies solely upon vendor fees, business sponsors, donations, and merchandising for all operating funds.
The market matches SNAP benefits dollar for dollar, doubling the purchase power of participants. They also have a scholarship program investing in the future of local students dedicated to promoting local agriculture.
