The Downtown Saginaw Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a safe, healthy environment for our customers and vendors. At the same time creating a destination for fun, food and excitement.

The Downtown Saginaw Farmers’ Market, operated and managed by the Downtown Saginaw Farmers’ Market Board of Directors, is an important community asset and provides economic, social and environmental benefits to our urban city and our downtown Riverfront community. The Board is committed to continuing its mission during the upcoming 2024 market season to be the region’s best downtown farmers’ market, featuring the area’s highest quality produce and products directly from our farmer producers and vendors.

Last year was difficult for our farmer vendors. Early season lack of participation with mid and late season record breaking rainfall proved to be a true test of man versus nature. Even with those conditions, our farmers persevered and brought our community the quality produce at fair prices. Local farmers throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond are currently gearing up to produce another great season full of fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, and flowers. As well as, Makers, Bakers and Artisans, that are designing and perfecting their products to offer throughout our over five month long season.

Our 2024 season will begin on Wednesday, May 22 and run through October 30, 2024. This season marks our seventh season at 203 S. Washington Avenue under the SVRC Marketplace outdoor pavilions. The Downtown Saginaw Farmers’ Market operates four days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The Market will continue to participate in food assistance and access programs including SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project Fresh and Senior Market Fresh. These programs lend support to our community, our vendors and our mission.

The Downtown Saginaw Farmers’ Market is committed to providing a safe, healthy environment for our customers and vendors. At the same time creating a destination for fun, food and excitement. Special events including Night Market events, entertainment, customers incentive giveaways, advertising, marketing, permanent downtown directional and traffic signage and vendor incentives are just a few of the Market's needs for this upcoming 2024 season. During this season we will see the return of our Food Access Box Program (F.A.B.) This subscription program provides fresh produce, recipes and all over food accessibility to our community.

The market participates in food assistance programs like SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, WIC Project Fresh, and Senior Market Fresh. They also host special events like a Christmas in July market, harvest days, and a chili cook-off.
