The East Lansing Farmers Market (ELFM) is a growers-only market located in Valley Court Park, steps away from MSU campus and downtown East Lansing. It offers a diverse selection of fresh, farm-grown Michigan produce and products, including vegetables, fruit, artisan bread, cheese, meat, coffee, maple syrup, honey, flowers and more. What makes the ELFM unique is that every item sold by vendors is 100% homegrown; vendors must either grow their own produce or make their own products. The ELFM accepts Senior Project FRESH/Market FRESH coupons and Bridge Cards/SNAP, and participates in the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program, which matches SNAP/Bridge card dollars spent at the market (up to $20/day) that can be spent on fresh fruits and vegetables grown in Michigan. The market has been operating since 2009 and aims to be inclusive and welcoming to all.
The ELFM is a growers-only market, meaning that every item sold by vendors is 100% homegrown or handmade. They also participate in the Double Up Food Bucks program, which helps SNAP/Bridge card users to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.
