The South Boston Farmers Market operates on Mondays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. June through October at 446 West Broadway, offering fresh, nutritious local produce and baked goods.
The South Boston Farmers Market is a neighborhood farmers market operating under the direction and sponsorship of the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation, to provide South Boston residents with access to fresh, nutritious local produce. The Market has been in operation since 2002.
The market operates Mondays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., June through October. It is located adjacent to the municipal parking lot at 446 West Broadway, a busy bus stop, and tremendous foot traffic, making it a very accessible location for market goers.
With the presence of the South Boston Farmers Market the South Boston community regains a figurative “town square” and the experience of the many positive outcomes of foot traffic and a healthy, social, active public space, and an improved quality of life in South Boston. The market is a place to not only obtain healthy food but a resource for positive community information. Area nonprofits are invited to table at the market to promote their organization.
The market seeks to serve every demographic group in South Boston. Live music, special seasonal events and incentives to use the market are implemented to enhance the vibrant community atmosphere on West Broadway.
Customers using the SNAP benefit program are welcomed and given a weekly incentive to use their benefits at the market through the Healthy Incentive Program. WIC Fruit and Vegetable Checks, and Senior Coupons are also accepted at the market, and frequent shoppers who collect six stamps on Market Loyalty Cards receive a coupon.
The market is primarily run by one market manager, however we are always looking for more community members to get involved!

The market features local produce, including hothouse tomatoes and bell peppers as early as June. It also includes unique vendors like an executive pastry chef from a local restaurant and an organic farm.
