The Orleans Farmers' Market is celebrating 30 years of regenerating Cape Cod Agriculture by promoting locally grown products and the farmers who bring farm fresh products to market year-round.
The Orleans Farmers' Market has moved inside for the Winter, and is open Saturdays 10am to 12pm at 5 Namskaket Road, Lower Cape TV. There are 15 to 20 weekly vendors. The market works hard to raise social consciousness about regenerative food production on Cape Cod. They focus on soil education, and encourage people to meet the farmers and learn where and how your food is grown. They are involved in the Massachusetts Healthy Incentives Program (HIP). They also have a garden project at Nauset High School that is being put on hold due to building and renovation at the school, and are accepting donations to relocate the garden. They also have a Cape Cod Five Scholarship Fund.
