AIM operates 9 Bay Area Farmers Markets, The Rollin’ Root mobile market, Bounty Box and Diggin’ Education Program
The Agricultural Institute of Marin (AIM) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Since 1983 we have evolved into one of California's leading advocates for regenerative and culturally-relevant food systems. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and connect communities, responsible farmers, and producers as part of a healthy, Earth-friendly, equitable local and regional food system.
AIM serves 400+ farmers, food purveyors, and artisans from 44 of 58 California counties who participate in AIM’s nine certified farmers markets in Hayward, Newark, Oakland, Point Reyes, San Rafael, and San Francisco. AIM provides hands-on agricultural education programs to thousands of children and adults, operates a farm audit program, runs a mobile market for older adults and underserved communities, curates a multi-farm produce box program, organizes a beginning farmers market incubator program, and operates CalFresh/EBT and Market Match services to create a healthier, equitable food system across the San Francisco Bay Area. AIM is engaged in state and local food policy work to make sure our actions benefit the land, the people who grow our food, and the health of all communities.
AIM's markets collectively generated an astounding $52 million in revenue for our network of 436 small and midsize California farmers, food makers, and artisans.
