The Orono Farmers’ Market is one of Maine’s larger markets with over twenty-five members offering a wide range of locally produced foods on Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons, open rain or shine. As in most other farmers’ markets in Maine, all of the goods offered for sale at the Orono Farmers’ Market must be produced by the vendor’s own effort; we do not allow our members to buy in products for re-sale at the market. Every purchase at the market supports the market’s human-scale producers—you make a real difference each time you support a local farmer.
The SUMMER MARKET is open May to November. Saturdays 8 am–Noon, May 4–November 23, 2024, Located at the University of Maine Steam Plant Parking Lot until Thanksgiving and Tuesdays 2–5:30 pm, June 25 (4th Tuesday)-October 29, 2024.
The WINTER MARKET is open December to April, from 9 am–Noon. In December: every Saturday. In January to April: on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays. At the Asa Adams School (behind the fire station), both in the gym and outside.

The Orono Farmers' Market requires that all goods offered for sale must be produced by the vendor's own effort, ensuring that every purchase supports local farmers. They also accept Farmers’ Market WIC checks by many vendors.
